Kisha Ojeda, LMFT
Kisha Ojeda, LMFT is a Bicultural, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with nearly 20 years of experience serving individuals, couples, and families across Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. Kisha began her career in community-based mental health and social services in 2009, where she developed a strong foundation working with high-risk and underserved populations. Her professional journey has included roles in housing services, private practice, and county behavioral health systems, ultimately leading to her current role as a Juvenile Justice Mental Health Services Supervisor with the County of Santa Barbara.
Kisha is the Co-Founder of Serenity Counseling and Psychological Services, where she also serves as an Executive Board Member and provides clinical leadership and therapy services. She specializes in working with justice-involved individuals, military veterans, and youth impacted by trauma, including human trafficking and complex family systems. She is trauma-informed and trained in a variety of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Seeking Safety, and is Eagala Certified in equine-assisted psychotherapy.
Kisha earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and has dedicated her career to supporting clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and Complex PTSD. Her therapeutic approach is client-centered, culturally responsive, and non-judgmental, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore challenges, heal from adverse life experiences, and build healthier patterns of thinking and behavior.
Through her work, Kisha strives to make a meaningful impact by empowering clients to strengthen relationships, increase emotional resilience, and move toward lives marked by stability, purpose, and hope.
